1. What is a DST?
A DST is a waterproof, extremely robust electronic photo-weigh-in station. At one end you will see an electronic weighing pedestal on which the fish is hung and sitting opposite of it is the main terminal. The main terminal allows anglers to record their catch and take photographs of their catch via a touch screen pad. All DST's consist of solid aluminum construction and are extremely well protected against the elements.

2. Where can a DST be used?
DST's can be situated in any geographical region from a city harbor to the extremely remote areas of northern Canada. You will be able to find DST's located in saltwater environments as well as freshwater environments as FishTactics.com^TM supports all varieties of sport fishing. Whether it's being hosted by a weekend fishing derby, public dock, marina, private lodge or guiding operation you will most commonly find a DST situated next to a fish cleaning table or any other area where anglers congregate.

3. How does a DST work?
Dockside Terminals can be tailored to fit specific needs however their main function is to provide service to anglers at the end of their fishing trip. An angler begins by hanging his/her catch on the hook of the weighing pedestal. The weight of the fish will then be displayed on the screen of the main terminal. If the angler so chooses they may take photographs of their catch as well as enter any other information pertaining to their catch as they wish. The angler also has the option of sharing their photographs online with the rest of the fishing community or keeping their photographs private so that only he/she may see them. All photographs and associated information are kept in a digital format (no hard copies) and will be sent wirelessly to the anglers email address.

4. What are a DST's capabilities?
The primary capability of a DST is to record catch information as a service to the angler, but also to provide a live, online fishing report where anyone can visit and stay up to speed on the latest fishing success in the general area. DST's are also capable of hosting fishing derbies. Whether it's a weekend fundraiser, special event put on by the hosting organization or public online derby there will always be a derby to take part in and prizes to be won as long as you weigh-in.
