Very cold water - good oxygen - could be a while before the bite comes on. Most sockeye travel at night.

One sockeye made to the docks in china creek today according to the counting lady. Mr Sockeye didn't even have the kindness in his heart to chose my boat.

Is ther alot of people putting in the effort in the inlet? Most of them are probably hoping one of these days will be the one where it really fires up.

Things have picked up a bit today. The water has waked up to 59.5 so it should pick up soon but tomorrow is the last sunny day.

We went to Kirby today nothing but small springs and a green filled passenger. So we headed to the dam for a couple of sockeye and a resupply of grocerys, turns out we should have tried the evening bite. At the cleaning station were 4 guys all with limits. They launched at 2:30pm and came back in at 8:30pm. Not super hot fishing but they have started biting today.

It started to Fire Up on Monday, Tuesday was better, yesterday pretty good as well. Cleaning tables are busier than they have been to date this year! Cous, Dunsmuir, Arden and the Slide all producing. Shallow chiefly. You should do quite Fine RayM

Cheers,
Nog

You just need to find the right spot. Sone areas have been doing rather well others not. Having said that I seem to have the yips so far this year, weanded four lost eight or nine others. These fish seem to be a bit more scrappy this year I a nice fish straighten out a hook.

I use MP15's and green flashers, some say purple haze flashers are the be all and end all in port, but I still catch fish. I run dummy flashers off of the canon balls, and two rods per rigger, all spaced 10 feet apart. Leader length I go between 18 and 23 inches, with No.4 black barbless octopus hooks.
