Hey Crew,
Just moved to alberta from Ontario. I enjoy all types of fishing but i mostly float fish and it seems to not be as popular out here as back home.Well ya its good to be in a forum to start sharing some info so that im not so lost on the river . I have been float fishing for the last 7 years the niagara river and tributares off lake ontario as well as lake erie were the old fishing grounds and i hope to find some spots out here.
 Thanks Guys

HI All I moved to Campbell River last year and am just getting in to salmon fishing. Unfortunately i don't have a boat so I made good use out of the fishing pier and the river last year. I grew up in Nelson fishing for trout kokanee and dolly varden.

Hey Bryan, Welcome to the site! There are some great places to fish near Campbell River, I'm sure you will love it. Let us know how fishing off the pier is this year. I'm very curious how many salmon get caught off that pier in the summer.

Finally, I am back on the Island after being in Alberta for 7 years!! Nothing bad about Alberta but can not beat being in GOD'S country. Well I am 34 years old and just getting back into fishing the ocean and rivers around the Island again, I grew up fishing the Alberni canal-broken group, and fishing the Gulf Islands since we have a house on Galiano. I just bought a 21ft Trophy, planning on going Halibut fishing of Victoria next weekend, then going to do some prawning in the Alberni canal the last weekend of Nov. I joined this site for next season fishing reports, I am hoping it will help me find the hot spots and also find some fishing partners. I would really like to try fishing more of the west coast like Nootka sound, not just the Alberni canal. Enough about talking let's get FISHING.

New here, using this at a good forum for the stamp river. I like hearing how the fishing is and water conditions. I'm a steelheader at heart, I guide in the summer time in rivers inlet. But i much prefer river fishing. I'v been killing it with the centre pin on the stamp right now but i'm getting sick of the coho, ( caught too many this summer ) and just waiting for the winter steelhead run to come in, hope to see some of you out on the water, and If your new at this river fishing thing I love giving tips that work for me on the stamp.

I have been using the resources of this site for the last couple of years and truly appreciate the honesty of the reports. Figured it was time to give back. I have been fishing Barkley Sound for the past 30 years each summer and marvel at its beauty and fabulous fishing we seem to experience year after year. Its funny how tight lipped the locals are or other fisherman hell I just keep catching fish and telling everybody what I am doing and where I am going. There is nothing better than seeing everybody being successful!!!!!!

Hey Elvis! Welcome to the site glad to have you aboard. You'll find plenty of info on the stamp here. There are a few guides here that keep it pretty current too. It would be awesome if you could post a vedder river report or two once the season gets rolling. Cheers!

Hey All
I am new to the island (Nanaimo). I am originally from the mainland and have been into fishing for 5 years or so. I plan on getting into some of the steelhead on the stamp that I hear so much about. From what I have read you all seem like a good friendly bunch and I hope to run into you on the rivers.
Cheers

Hi everyone. A friend told me about this forum about a week ago, and I like its style, so I just joined up. I'm originally from N.Van, but have lived on the island for close to 25 years now. Been fishing on and off for about 50 years now. Prefer fishing rivers and ocean to lakes, toss flies most of the time, catch & release mostly too. Hope to make some contribution to this forum. Tight lines, all! Merlin
