Screaming fly and tackle might carry packs of painted gammy jig heads on a gammy hook. Ive used them once before but now I just use brass beads with a pin tied on to a bare jig hook with tying thread.

I fished the upper river today from moneys to the ash, I think i was the first one up the trail to the ash, I was following bear track. No luck, no bites. Anyone else been fishing the upper?

Well kromer and I met up and fished the river hard below and above the bucket and only managed to sting one in 5 hrs fishing between 2 guys...slow slow slow! Talked to a couple other fishermen with the same results. Looks like the fish that were in the system have shot upstream and only a few left below the falls. kromer nice fishing with you bud! till next time.

Likewise TM! Good to meet up with you again. YUP she's a bit slow right now. The one TM ''stung'' looked to be a real bruiser too!

I fished the river on saturday...a waste of time considering 6 hours of my day is on the road.
low + clear + no fish = skunk
