I was called by port alberni newspaper yesterday, Check news today and another paper from PA today all of whom contacted me and I told them I was not there and only compiled the information and reiterated the info from my blog, they asked me for some quotes and I gave them quotes. 2 minute phone conversations, now I'm being quoted in the times colonist saying i was there? I just want everyone to know that I wasn't there and I was misquoted. End of story.

Fished the gun range for a couple hours this afternoon. Lost one that could have been 15 pounds, landed 1 around 6 pounds. The water is looking good.

got up this morning(thats always a good thing),thought to myself,''I should go over to the Stamp today'', so I did!, fished the bucket and the falls pool(now thats a good workout walking down to it),no Steel for me, but did see a few taken at the pool, met a few new people, and fished with one of them,so all in all, a good day....

Nine yesterday. Landed that is

That last huge freshet really scattered them throughout the system. Tough to dig them out for a few days following. Seems they starting to re-group lately though. The 9 I refer to were taken amongst 3 rods, and a LOT of water covered, on foot.

Cheers,
Nog

yes ,today....does anyone ever get up and ''feel'' that its going to be a good day today?...well thats how I felt this morning..and what a day!, I ( the nooby) played guide to a very good friend of mine who has been Steelheading almost as long as I've been alive, and who also got me into this Steelheading thing,I had a good feeling about a spot that I had scouted a while ago and it turned out to be a good one, we hooked 8 and landed 5,(4 hatchery, 1 wild),kept one each for eating,...

and sorry, all I can tell you about where we were, is that we were not useing bait, and no we were not at the falls pool....

water is very clear, and has dropped since I was here last week,

we found the smaller the offering the better for us today,
