These low water/clear conditions are tough to fish, especially from shore. You'll have better luck tomorrow! There's rain in the forecast.

At times you can do really well on chrome spin-n-glos and you wont see anyone out there trying them. Same goes for colorado blades but they seem to have more popularity with the mainland crowd.

Yea colorados are big on the mainland for sure... use to use them all the time on the Vedder. Never tried the chrome spin and glo, assuming orange wings or the normal white ones?

Hit another 3 with 1 more chaser yesterday, and today got the big skunkaroo for the first time this year (had to come sometime). Buddy got a beauty cutty and a late coho though, so glad I got him into some action at least.

The fishing on the Stamp river has been fantastic, even phenomenal in the Upper, now that the section above the ash is closed, I will be fishing below from Moneys pool to the falls, which is about 7km's of river. The fishing in that section has been excellent with tons of Chrome steel pushing in from the falls pool. Shore access in the upper is very limited but you are still able to get to a number of runs if you don't mind going on a long hike.

The river is still pretty high, it should be coming down any day now.

Confirm what Steelhead says . The river it extremely high . There are a few spots but they are very tight with allot of fishermen looking for them . If your out Thursday It may not drop much but if the weather continues to the weekend it should be great . Be very careful wading in High water.

Good Luck

There seem to be fewer reports of steelhead this year. Is this due to less fish or less talk?
