Poor Weather and Actually Waiting for Feeder Chinook
Well the winter rain and storms have arrived. The various Bamfield Lodges have closed down and the local fishermen will await feeder chinook opportunities later in the year or wait until the new season. The fishing late in the season was rather mediocre to say the least. Chum fishing in the Sarita area was enjoyed by only a few individuals. Next seaon is looking good. There will be big stocks of migratory fish going down the coastline which should bring lots of fish into feed at Kirby Point and Edward King etc. The usual good fishing for early Chinook and Coho in June and July of 09 should be fantastic. Of course August and September will see the movement of incoming local stocks. For information and bookings for next season email Doug at dlindy@shaw.ca
