Fishing in Sound Very Consistent

Barkley Sound and various surfline locations have been absolutely wonderful for the sport fisher person. There are lots of Coho and Chinook from the Backside of Fleming Island and over to Swale Rock and out to Austin and Ship Island. Many individuals have picked up limits of Coho and Chinook over the last week. The Chinook are hitting green nickel and green glo hootchies and cuttlefish. The Coho are hitting a variety of coyote spoons. The best fishing some days seems to be right on the tide change and an hour before and after but other days it seems not to matter. The Coho when schooled in big numbers will hit any time. Good fishing depths are 70 to 130 feet. There currently is a lot of bait in many Barkley Sound locations and the migratory salmon are coming in to feed on these rich valuable sources of the food chain. We are expecting the salmon fishing in Barkley Sound locations to be very good through the summer season.
